Why Does Google Play Music Keep Downloading

Hi all,

My S4 has started behaving oddly over the last couple of days. When I woke upward on Thursday in that location seemed to be a lot of applications updating. And so I noticed that Google Play Music was downloading a load of albums that I had already downloaded. In total it downloaded 7gb of music. This forenoon I woke up and information technology had queued up all the music to download again.

Luckily I'yard on an uncapped broadband business relationship but it slows everything else down while its downloading.

Anyone else had this problem, or could it exist a problem with the SD bill of fare?

Have you checked through the Music App settings to see if there is a setting enabled that would automatically start downloading albums? Also, become into system settings > accounts > google > music. Brand certain information technology's not checked to sync (if it is).

I'm besides having the same issue on my Xperia Z2. I take my removable sd carte selected every bit the storage location as the telephone doesn't take enough capacity.

Happens very often too, wondering if information technology's to do with a recent update?

I'g dislocated. Google Music should be ready to sync, but it should Non exist downloading music that you lot did non tell it to store locally.

I'm having this same upshot. I'll run into that Google Play Music is re-downloading a bunch of albums which are already present on the device. I only have GPM set to download while I'm on wi-fi, so information technology'south not eating my information allocation for the download, but I'chiliad concerned that information technology may be choosing to stream songs, which would utilize data allocation, instead of playing them from local storage. Tin anyone explain this baroque behavior?

Has anyine found a solution? Mine is doing the same matter, but i keep seeing n my notifications on my note4 that " music downloaad is consummate" information technology does this often and i dont que anything for download

My Galaxy S4 is also doing this at present about once a week. Looks like we should submit a issues to Google so they know about it.

Happening to me, also. Having to continue the option on to just download on wifi considering of this. Planning to contact Google today.

Ressurection! This is happening to me now. Started happening a few days ago. The app wouldn't showtime playing a listing while I was driving. I took a quick glance, and saw that the list was no longer stored locally. When I got domicile I saw that all my downloaded lists were affected. They were either grayness or partially downloaded... The app was busy downloading. Three days later on, yet downloading. Information technology won't become by 94 percent. Well, it gets to 95, but falls immediately back to 94.

Edit: Merely had a chat with Google play music back up. Something had gone wrong with the app locally. Had to become to system settings>apps>play music>uninstall updates>confirm. Reset the phone (just in case). Seems to take washed the trick
